Does any one use a speech recognition program like Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 10 in the exams sections of D2L? This works fine with Word and in discussion ares but locks up or is erratice sometimes in exams. Thanks

Well….I made it this far! I spent about 15 minuted navigating my way around D2L, never having been on here before.

I hope this is the sight my biology teacher, Dr. Drewes, mentioned today in class.

If so then “WOO HOO! I found it!” If not, then well….I will try again on Wednesday after class.

Jon, I would suggest using a different browser on your Mac. It seems that Firefox works best with D2L. See the post titled, “Recommended Web Browsers.” Thanks for your question.

My question is in regards to accessing D2L on my MaciBook G4. I can access D2L just fine from my Dell PC however once I attempt to access the discussion board in D2L from my Mac the Safari internet browser I use unexpectedly quits. I haven’t been able to figure out exactly why? Would anyone be able to provide a clue.

Go to Discussions, and then click on Settings. You can experiment with your settings until you are happy with them. The “Preview Pane Option” eliminates the pop-up window and displays messages in a Preview pane on the bottom half of your screen. The preview pane is resizable by dragging the border. For more information, see the post titled “Discussion area concerns.”

In the discussions section, I hit the “undock” tab to read the messages in a new window. I want to return the page to how it was, it is easier and faster to use without the messages opening in a new window but I can’t find where to do that.

Jesse,
It is not possible to have D2L notify you when you receive a new email message. I would suggest that you open 2 web browsers if you want to use email and D2L at the same time. Thanks for your question!
